BC Log and Timber Building Industry Association asks “where has our apprenticeship training system gone?”

At its upcoming annual general meeting, March 23^rd to 25^th in Chase, the association and its members will seek answers from the Industry Training Authority (ITA) about the recent cancellation of the long-awaited Log Builder apprenticeship program and the discontinuation of funding to RCITO, the organization that helped advocate for the industry’s emerging training needs.

Mary Kenny, CEO of RCITO (Residential Construction Industry Training Organization) will speak with delegates about options and strategies that may be available for bringing training to the industry in the wake of ITA’s recent actions.
