Log home construction is an art, an historic craft and a demanding science, requiring knowledge and skills unlike those in any other trade.

What does this program give me?

The Log Builder Program gives you the skills, training, and knowledge you need to safely create recreational, residential and commercial structures from logs and timber, using simple and complex joinery.

Why should I get certified?

Certification puts you at the top of your trade and gives you a valuable credential that is recognized and respected by employers across the province. It also increases your ability to market yourself, and gives you greater employment opportunities and higher earning potential.

How long is this apprenticeship?

The Log Builder program includes 24 weeks of in-school training and 7000 work-based hours.
