Research and Planning

One of RCITO’s roles is to conduct research about, and plan for, changes in the residential construction industry in British Columbia. In this process, we aim to:

  • Identify needs and develop strategies, programs and qualifications to meet them.
  • Encourage motivated people to work in BC’s residential construction industry.
  • Establish career and learning paths that connect BC’s residential construction training programs.
  • Build and sustain a training culture in BC’s residential construction industry.
  • Build a sustainable training organization that produces qualified workers and addresses new energy-efficient and green building techniques.
  • Ensure that our programs serve the needs of trainees, workers and employers.
