Training Providers
The right fit:
Finding a training provider that works for you
There are many public and private training institutions in British Columbia that are designated by the Industry Training Authority to offer apprenticeship technical training and/or pre-apprenticeship Foundation Programs. As an apprentice, it is up to you to:
» Know what technical training you must complete as part of your apprenticeship.
» Find and register with an institution that can provide the right training.
» Schedule your technical training at a time that is convenient to you and your employer.
Like students in other post-secondary programs, you are responsible for covering part of the cost of classroom instruction (although some employers may pay a portion, or all of these costs). Costs and program lengths vary from institution to institution. When looking into your options, consider not only tuition fees, but also other costs such as books and service fees.
Before you register at an institution or for a program that is not on this list, or for any training outside of British Columbia, please check with ITA Customer Service to make sure that the institution or program you have chosen is recognized by the ITA and that you will be able to receive credit.
